I just figured out the total for my Fall Semester textbooks.
Worst case scenario, if all of the books end up being brand new it comes out to $406.25

I hope I can find some used books in order to take that price down a bit.
On another note, I haven't quit Linens N Things yet. Yes, I'm sick of not getting hours. Yes, I'm sick of working there. However, if I hand in my letter of resignation and 2-week notice on the 29th as I had originally planned... that's three more days worth of pay that I'll get before leaving. Every little bit helps.
Funny little story:
In the beginning of the summer, I had applied at Barnes and Noble in hopes that I could leave LNT and work at my favourite bookstore. It's practically the end of summer, and I recieved a call for an interview. That bites. I'm still going to return the call. I'd love to work for the company, but I need to see if the Denton store has anything available. Maybe they can hook me up with an interview at that location.
And in other news... I'm going to get a pet for my new apartment. I was originally planning on a fish, but would now prefer something else. I've got it narrowed down to a snake, tarantula, bearded dragon, or tree frog. Will probably go with the snake. Opinions, anyone?

As for a pet, I say a snake. ^_^ Although tree frogs are super cute, too. I used to have a tree frog. But you're not supposed to touch them, something about a chemical in their skin or something. So it wasn't too much fun, seeing as I couldn't take him out and play with him.

Still very cute, though. :)
Am I a dork for wanting to name my snake Salazar or Nagini?

er... and that's not an implication of Snupin, though I don't mind the pairing.

Hrm, I dunno. My favorites are between the twins and Ron.

It crawled up my arm. Quite cute, really.
How strange that I loathe the majority of spiders, but like tarantulas.
I guess it's because tarantulas are so big that they don't seem like an average spider. To me, it looks like a small, furry monster.

Or a mouse. But never at the same time or in the same place as a snake. For obvious reasons.

The one not eaten will be my pet. XD
No, but seriously, I think I will go with the snake.
