You En Tee!

I just figured out the total for my Fall Semester textbooks.
Worst case scenario, if all of the books end up being brand new it comes out to $406.25

I hope I can find some used books in order to take that price down a bit.

On another note, I haven't quit Linens N Things yet. Yes, I'm sick of not getting hours. Yes, I'm sick of working there. However, if I hand in my letter of resignation and 2-week notice on the 29th as I had originally planned... that's three more days worth of pay that I'll get before leaving. Every little bit helps.

Funny little story:

In the beginning of the summer, I had applied at Barnes and Noble in hopes that I could leave LNT and work at my favourite bookstore. It's practically the end of summer, and I recieved a call for an interview. That bites. I'm still going to return the call. I'd love to work for the company, but I need to see if the Denton store has anything available. Maybe they can hook me up with an interview at that location.

And in other news... I'm going to get a pet for my new apartment. I was originally planning on a fish, but would now prefer something else. I've got it narrowed down to a snake, tarantula, bearded dragon, or tree frog. Will probably go with the snake. Opinions, anyone?

Awesome about the Barnes and Noble interview, although it does suck that they called later than you'd have hoped.

As for a pet, I say a snake. ^_^ Although tree frogs are super cute, too. I used to have a tree frog. But you're not supposed to touch them, something about a chemical in their skin or something. So it wasn't too much fun, seeing as I couldn't take him out and play with him.

Yeah, Tree Frogs have poisonous skin to prevent themselves from being eaten.
Still very cute, though. :)

Am I a dork for wanting to name my snake Salazar or Nagini?

LoL, no, that'd be really cute. Although if you pick one of those, I say Nagini. ^_^ hehe Although Salazar would be quite cute, as well.

LoL, my tree frog was named Fred. Unfortunately I hadn't started reading Harry Potter yet, so he's not named after Fred Weasley, even tho I think Fred might be my favorite character... Hrm, no, I'm not sure who my favorite character is... *shrugs*

I have two favourites

*hugs remus and severus*

er... and that's not an implication of Snupin, though I don't mind the pairing.

I used to have a tarantula. Very interesting animals! Put my vote for the hairy spider!

When i was at PetCo, I got to hold the tarantula. It's amazing how fragile they are.
It crawled up my arm. Quite cute, really.

How strange that I loathe the majority of spiders, but like tarantulas.
I guess it's because tarantulas are so big that they don't seem like an average spider. To me, it looks like a small, furry monster.

I vote for a snake. They are reasonably easy to care for, somewhat neater than lizards or frogs, affectionate and neafty.

Or a mouse. But never at the same time or in the same place as a snake. For obvious reasons.

Perhaps I should get a rat AND a snake.... let them duke it out on their own.
The one not eaten will be my pet. XD
No, but seriously, I think I will go with the snake.
